*** My Birthday Weekend! *** OOTN *** MOTN ***

Hello my lovelies, my birthday is on the 28th of January. As you may already know i am at university studying to be a nurse and unfortunately i have been booked in to have some injections done on my birthday and i will also be doing placement the next day..so i decided the best way around this would be to have my birthday celebrations on the Friday before my birthday!

I decided that i wanted to go out clubbing for my birthday! A group of girls from where i live back at home all came home from university for the weekend so they where able to come out for my birthday (i thought this was so nice of them and couldn't thank them enough.) We started by going to a small cocktail bar and then went onto going to a well known club in Manchester..Sakura.

I did originally buy a dress from misguided to go out in but when it came it was far to short..it wasn't wearable at all (misguided dont think about us long legged girls!) so on the day of my night out i had to go shopping in the morning with my mum..that's when i found this beauty.
Its a tight fitting dress with a black background, grey and white flower patter and bright yellow boarder..i was in love. The material is really thick and has some stretch to it even tho it is quite tight.

I tried a few dresses in the same style but with different patterns and this was definitely my favorite AND wasn't too short..my mum looked more pleased to see me in this than the misguided dress haha!

These shoes are a 4.5 heel..perfect for girls who are already tall but still want to wear heals without looking 6ft 8! They have cut out detail and buckle on the outside of the ankle and have leather look to them. These shoes are made from a very hard and sturdy material so after a few hours they did start to rub the backs of my ankles but this was kind of expected from new shoes but i did also have to add an extra hole into the strap as it felt too tight around my ankle when i buckled them up.

although they did hurt me after a few hours i know this was only because of the rubbing..after a few more wears out of them i know they will be painless as they feel like im wearing a wedge. LOVE THEM.

This is the bag i used, it has an over the should strap that allows the bag to come just at my hip! it has one big pocket inside with a tiny zip pocket at the side..it fits everything that i need in it and i even use it during the day when i go shopping.

Price: £18.00
Find it: They dont sell this bag anymore but the website has lots of similar styles.

Now moving onto my eye make-up, i decided that i didn't want my eyes too be too dark as i was wearing a really dark red lipstick and eyelashes. I used this soap and glory palette to create this look.

How: I started with my urban decay primer potion and used Mud honey on the crease against a piece of card to create the sharp line, i then darkened the crease and inner corner of the eye with Black Gold and Smokin. I used Diamondust in the center of my lid and added winged eyeliner and Black Gold on my bottom lash line and that was it!
I had my hair straight with a french plait head band!

Here are some pictures from the night!

I had a really good night and although i cant do anything the night of my birthday and im having  injections i am looking forward to going home a seeing my family in the afternoon!

Thank you for having a read,
have a wonderful day!

Night time skincare

Today i thought i would do a post on my night time skincare routine. I apologize now for the bad lighting and different background in my pictures, i have recently gone back to university and i'm trying to find the best place to take my pictures.

I will start by telling you my skin type, i have combination skin, it isnt really oily and it isnt really dry. However i would say it is more prone to getting dry. I also have sensitive skin so highly perfumed products are a no go. I don't really venture out with my skin care because i have sensitive skin, im scared ill spend money on high end product to just find out if burns my face, so i keep it safe.

(Simple purifying cleansing lotion)

To take my make-up of i use this amazing product. I have been using this for almost two years now and i love it so much. The bottle states that it contains pro vitamin B5, bisabolol, allantoin and no perfumes or harsh chemicals!

To remove my make-up with this i simply put some of the cleanser onto either a cotton pad, face cloth or make-up wipe and then swipe over the eyes to remove all eye make-up.  I do the same thing to remove my face make-up and this product gets rid of everything (even waterproof mascara and eyeliner)

If im every feeling lazy (normally after a night out at 4am) i just do this step twice and go to bed.

This 200ml bottel normally last me about 3 months! :O
Boots: £2.99
Superdrug: £2.99

(Clean & Clear - Exfoliating daily wash)

After i have removed my make-up i then use this product to clean my skin and give it a light exfoliation to keep it looking fresh and soft. This product is also one i have been using for a while and i love it, i really do believe that it is this product that helps my skin stay clear and i can really tell a difference if i don't use it for a couple of days.

The bottle stays that it contains small micros bead that help to remove; dirt, oil and dead skin cells and helps to un block pores that can lead to black heads. The exfoliation is so soft that you are not left with blotchy red marks or any painful areas from scrubbing. For me this product is perfect and i try and recommend it to anyone i can!

Boots: £2.78
Superdrug: £2.99
A MUST have product, and for the price..just try it!

(Clean & Clear - Deep cleansing lotion for sensitive skin)

This product is something new to me, in the past i have tried a few toners and they always sting my skin so when i saw that this one was specially made for sensitive skin i gave it a go.
This toner does not sting my skin at all!! The bottle states that its an oil fighting formula that cleanses effectively and helps prevent spots.

As i have only been using this product for about a week i haven't noticed a big difference in my skin overall but i have noticed that the redness and oil around my nose has decreased since using it. I will say that the smell of this product it something i don't like, its very perfumed and smells like a weird mouth wash.

Boots: £2.78
Superdrug: £2.99

I'll now move onto quickly talking about my two favorite moisturizers. The Nivea moisturizer is my favorite out of the two but i only use it at night as it is quite thick but in the morning my skin feel so soft! the bottle says that it contain jojoba oil and vitamin E..two ingredients that skin loves!
If i want to wear this moisturizer during the day i just use half the normal amount i would do and leave it to soak in for 20 minutes before apply make-up.

The simple moisturizer is very light and perfect for if im in a rush in the morning and need a moisturizer that i can put my foundation straight on top of. It says that its a 12h moisturizer and like all simple products..it doesn't have any perfumes or colours in it. Both product smell like standard moisturizers but i prefer the smell of the Nivea one.

Nivea:
Boots: £2.49
Superdrug: £2.45

Simple:
Boots: £3.99
Superdrug: £3.79

Tip: If you have access to a Body Care have a look in there for these product as they are sometimes cheaper. (BARGAINS!)

have a nice day

Barry M Nail varnish review!

Gelly High Shine Nail Paint By Barry M.

I was just about to do my nails and i thought "Why not take pictures and blog about these nail vanishes aswell?".

Above are the two colours i decided to do my nails!
The first is a glitter polish looks like its just silver glitter but it actually has the prettiest flecks of gold, blue, red and green in it also. This polish is called "C 349".
The gelly polish is in a tiffany green/blue colour (Called Guava), it is a tad darker in person than it is in the picture. This colour is gorgeous..one of my favorite colours!

The first thing i used was the Sally Hanson maximum growth base coat! I haven't used this product enough to tell you if it actually does help your nails grow but from wearing it under polish i can say it protects your nails from staining and also makes them stronger.

I then applied one coat of the Guava gelly polish and let it dry for about half an hour, this product is really thick when you first apply and takes what feels like forever to dry! ( not too good for un patient people like me). After it dried i then applied another coat and got the desired colour and thickness that i wanted! This polish is excellent as it only takes two coats for it to look perfect on my nails and is not sheer AT ALL. As you may have already figured out by the name "gelly" these polished are designed to look like you have gel nails on, and i must agree they do. There was no need for me to add a top coat due to the shinnyness the polish already gives.

After both coats of the Gelly polish where FINALLY dry, i added the glitter polish onto two of my nails, and as you can see from the picture..together they look so nice! i love it! PLUSS i only used one coat of the glitter polish, its definitely build-able if you want you fingernails to look like disco balls, haha!

Overall i think the glitter polish is amazing! definitely the best one i have used before as it actually applies glitter when brushing the polish on.. not like other brands where i have had to sit and dab it onto my nails! LOVE LOVE LOVE.
For the gellys.. i do have 3 so as you can tell i do like them and they give such clean look on your nails, however i do wish they didn't take so long to dry! Anyone else had this problem, or is it just my nails? ha!

Thank you for having a read! Leave your blog in the comments and ill take a look around your posts.
Have a lovely day!

My Favorite Make-Up Products Of 2013

As it is now the 4th of January i thought it would be a good idea to share my favorite make-up products of 2013. Please excuse how battered and dirty some of the products look as i have been using them all year! enjoy.

Lasting perfection foundation by Collection. £5.99.
Now this isn't a foundation that i wear everyday as i tend to change my everyday foundation up a lot, however this is a foundation i have used all year when i have needed extra coverage or for my foundation to last a long time.

This foundation is medium/full coverage and lasts about 8 Hours but it is a tad oily so does need to be set with a powder. i usually mix this with my everyday foundation or layer it on-top when i am going on nights out or need extra coverage that day.

Sleek face contour kit. £6.49
This is what i use to contour my face everyday, i have it in the lightest shade but it can be built up to as dark as you want by just using more product and a heavier hand. I don't use the highlight much as i do already have a favorite that i will talk about next but its still nice.

MUA undress your skin highlighter. £3.00
This has been my favorite highlighter since this time last year, its amazing! Its a pink shaded highlighter with tiny bits of silver and gold glitter. I have used it in every season and have also used it on other people, its suitable for all skin types.

M.A.C crosswires lipstick £15.00
A medium red toned lipstick, i have worn this colour all year; spring, summer, autumn and winter!
i love it, its a cremesheen and it so moisturizing! It lasts a long time also.

Miss sporty 24h pump up booster (Waterproof) £1.79
I have tried alot of liquid eyeliners.. expensive and cheap. This is the best liquid eyeliner i have ever used and for only £1.79! It has a felt tip end plus its waterproof. It lasts all day and it doesn't flake or chip.

M.A.C blush in desert rose £18.00
The blush that is perfect for my skin tone, iv worn it everyday this year.

Natural collection eye shadow in crushed walnut £1.79
I use this eye shadow to fill in my eyebrows as i watched a youtube guru talk about it and how she used it for her eyebrows. Its a matte dark brown colour that blends easily and iv probably used this for about 2 years!

Both these products are from Ted Baker.
i love these kinds of lip sticks/balms. So Soft and moisturizing and i love the colour. i want to buy more of these kinds of lipstick this year. Mascara isn't something i tend to go for when buying and trying new make up so i have just been using this one for a long time, i promise ill try new ones this year.

Colour tattoo in permanent taupe. £4.99
I have used this all year as an eye shadow base, i love it and i'm definitely going to buy more.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. £37.00
My everyday go to palette!
